Lesson 25. We're all accidents.

I’ve just finished reading A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. It’s amazing that one person can not only know so much, but also explain it all in simple, sometimes funny language.

Of all the amazing facts he covers, one that stood out to me is that even years after the human genome was published, scientists still don’t know what most of our DNA does. As Bryson puts it, our DNA is 97% ‘junk code’ with no discernible function. So it seems to me that we must have been designed with a WYSIWYG editor like Frontpage. That’s a hypothesis I’d like to see included in the whole creationism vs evolution debate.

And of course, whether you subscribe to creationism, Another miracle has happened
Another miracle has happened

..or evolution, Where did it all go wrong?
Where did it all go wrong?
..there is naturally a t-shirt to go with your views.

By the way, if you’re asking yourself what does WYSIWYG stand for – it’s What You See Is What You Get.

And this is the cool book that I just read: A Short History of Nearly Everything
