Lesson 20. Don't get carried away by the occasion.

Pregnant from Valentines Day

Christmas? Done. New Year's? Done. Good, we can relax.

Not so fast! Because another big occasion looms, and it seems to be getting bigger every year. Valentine's Day is becoming commercialised and romanticised like never before. The pressure to be the most romantic person on the planet can cause young people in love to go further than they want to, and I don't just mean with their credit card debt from the florist. Of course romance is wonderful, but in the hands of someone giddy with the hype of it all, it can lead to unplanned pregnancies. Yes I'm being alarmist, you'll probably be careful and just get an embarrassing lovebite. But for those with less self control, why don't you wear this shirt that says A baby is for life, not just for Valentine's Day. Unlike flowers and chocolates, you can even use it again next year.

Lesson 19. Get along with different people.

Peace for different religions

This shirt takes designs associated with some major world religions - Christianity, Judaism, Islam and even the dove associated with peace. Together, they speel out the wor'd 'PEACE' in a design that's attractive as well as clever and original. The result is an inspiring message of international and inter-faith peace on a t-shirt. It's from the Peace for Humanity shop. Give or wear one, and you could also be starting an inter-personal peace process with everyone who sees it :-)

Lesson 18. 1.2 billion Chinese can't be wrong.

Chinese Happy New Year

I'm writing this on January 1 2007. So I still have plenty of time left to wish the billions of Chinese people in the world a Happy New Year with this Chinese HAPPY NEW YEAR t-shirt. It's from the Nationali-Tee section at Tee-Hee.com. I thought you should know about it as the year of the Fire Dog comes to a close and the Year of the Fire Pig begins.

If you want to know when will Chinese New Year be this year, in 2007 it falls on February 18. It is based on the lunar calendar and is celebrated as the Spring Festival in the People's Republic of China and elsewhere around the world.
